Farmhouse Decorating, Our Farmhouse

Fall Farmhouse Home Tour

One of my most favorite times of the year is here!  Fall!  But, I really like the winter and Christmas.  And spring too.  Oh and when the warm summer air arrives, I am smitten as well.  Can you see the trend?  I love all of the seasons for all the good in each of them.  Back to fall though…and how we are embracing it here at our farmhouse.  I thought that it would be fun to do a little tour of the areas that I spruced up in honor of the days getting shorter and the air getting cooler.  Welcome to my fall farmhouse home tour!

Let’s start at the front door and pretend that you just walked in.  {Oh and come back on Thursday for an outdoor blog hop.  It’s going to be filled with some beautiful fall outdoor inspiration that you will not want to miss!}

Just simple little touches…all either from Target, a local pumpkin patch, or my decor stash.

Now, swing right and we’ll wait for some coffee to brew in the dining room.

Why, yes, that is a piano in our dining room.  I played a little furniture shuffle over the summer and the piano landed in here.  {Well, technically, it was wheeled in.}

I was trying to go a little bit funky on these shelves.  It didn’t work.  Do you know why?  Because it just wasn’t me.  I love woods, whites, and harvest colors too much, so I stuck with “me” and I’ll let the more funky decorators be the best versions of themselves.

The coffee isn’t quite ready yet, so let’s linger around the dining room a bit longer.

Look!  The ladder is back in here after it’s summer in the living room.

And look at all of these dried hydrangeas!  I did a whole post on how to dry your own hydrangeas…and it’s so easy and not too late to get started.

Do you see the hydrangea theme in here?  It was purely accidental, like most of my decorating.

Our pumpkin spice coffee is ready, so let’s go find a seat in the living room.  Follow me, straight ahead…

This shabby chic cabinet is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces to decorate.

Free goldenrod from our yard for the win!

Ah, there are our seats.  Come and sit a while and enjoy some sunshine and we can chat about some fun fall outings…and ignore all the leaves that need to be raked.

So, what do you enjoy most about the fall season?  There is so much to choose from: pumpkin spice {everything!}, apple picking, sweater weather, cool crisp mornings, hay rides, baking.  I would love to hear some of your autumn plans!

And thank you for stopping by my fall farmhouse home tour!
